This requires the Shadowdark RPG to run.

"Through me the way is to the city dolent; Through me the way is to eternal dole; Through me the way among the people lost.... 'All hope abandon, ye who enter in!'"

Rescued from a Drow city in the Shadowdark, the party is assaulted at their refugee outpost by a mad mutagenist seeking fresh corpses for her experimentation. Saved by the titular Hope, the party finds themselves deeper in the Shadowdark caverns on a timer to reach the surface & freedom while avoiding black market smugglers, planet-devouring wurms, the lure of forbidden & forgotten knowledge, and trickster spirits who just want new friends... to stay forever.

            ***Features no AI art or writing. ***

Content Advisory: Drow are the main villain in this adventure. As a precursor, there is a mild content warning in that this adventure contains elements of slavery, murder, and genetic experimentation.

This is adventure module is an adventure for 1st level Shadowdark characters that can last 2-4 sessions depending on character choices. It is packed with all the tools you need to run the adventure aside from monsters that are included in the core rulebook.

It includes:

  • 2 new ancestries (drow & kitt);
  • naming lists, NPCs, multiple factions;
  • 21 new monsters;
  • new character starter kits;
  • over 60+ pages of new content;
  • detailed maps; and
  • a coding system for quick reference (also tabs).

This was a huge undertaking for me and I would appreciate any feedback, especially if you play it so I can make a better adventure next time. I already learnt a lot from many of you just from the first draft to this one.

One of the coding systems I used was a Relationship Plot. It puts a person's name relative to an icon representing friendly or antagonistic. It is proximity based, so if Iso's name is closer to the 2 friends icon, they are more friendly than not. If it's closer to the skull (like Xia's) it's more antagonistic than not. This is just meant to be a quick reference for GMs running this out of the book to get a quick grasp of the relationships between factions/characters quickly.
